do an inventory as soon as you check in

well, i do not consider this off topic, as it relates to my stay at cape winds resort. there were 5 women in my group, all best friends from childhood. Anyways , we had a good stay at Cape Winds, it was comfortable for all 5 of us. Nothing fancy , but sufficient.
But when i checked in I was asked for a credit card for incidentals. When I checked out, i was told there were no charges and that they disposed of my credit card number.
Well this week I received my credit card statement. There was a 43 dollar charge on it from Cape Winds. after 4 days of calling the resort, I finally got through to the person I needed to talk to. I did not know what the charge was for. Amy told me it was for the floral arrangement that was missing from our condo unit. I was basically called a thief. We did not steal anything out of the unit.
I really , really resent this. We all have the means to buy what we want, why would we steal a used floral arrangement. I am very upset and would not recommend this resort. I am not a thief. I am a timeshare owner myself. Why would I steal???
My suggestion would be to do a complete inventory and check with the office if something looks askew'
We all flew into massachusetts from ohio. it is not as if floral arrangements fit in overpacked luggage.
