South Shore Inn, Sandusky

My family stayed here in August and it was a pleasure. The staff was very helpful and really went out of there way to make our stay a good one. Family owned and they make their customers feel like family. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a very relaxing time while visiting Cedar Point.

First, we think our two rooms suite are 2 bedrooms but they are only one bedroom with a living area and a sofa bed (which costed $153.87!) And the side and back of the sofa was very dirty because of old crakers, bisquits and some webs! We had to put our suitcases on the chairs(not leave on the floor) because we were afraid of some animals would go inside them and go home with us. The orange jacussi was messy with blue soap(we were scared so all of us did not take any shower!) THE OLD TV IN THE BEDROOM DID NOT HAVE REMOTE!!!!!! AND WE REALLY DID NOT KNOW THAT THE POOL WAS CLOSED (They said closed in winter time!!!) We arrived there almost 6 p.m. but we hurried to go eat breakfast on the next day (the late breakfast was 7:30-10:30 a.m.) and went back home 9 a.m. The breakfast was bad so little and no choices....we felt regret to stay there and we would never go back there. We also won't recommended to any one.....yes....do not stay there!!!

The lobby is beautiful, great staff and a lovely Thai restaurant adjacent to the lobby. The rooms were good and the pool was awesome!! other Hotel/Motel's have all asphalt but this place has a grassy area by pool and a wide open field in the back! Great place, book early and check out their suites!

at 108 dollars a night...I thought I was getting a decent place to sleep...if they would fix the rooms up as nice as their lobby..it may have been a little better...older hotel with doors on the outside...ants in the room, and we stayed on the 2nd floor...DON'T LET THE ANTBUGS BITE!!!...It was close to Ceadr Point though..GOOD LUCK IF YOU STAY THERE.....

I stayed at this hotel and every thing was just so good. The reason i stayed at sandusky ohio was because we were going to go to cedar point the first day and soak city the next day. So we go and every thing was nice about the hotel and then at the front desk they asked what we were going to do at sandusky and we told them and they gave us free tickets for cedar point and soak city. They were very friendly and i would defenitally go back.

We had a great 12 hour stay at the South Shore Inn. We will definately reccommend the hotel to friends and be back. Our room was clean and the everyone was friendly.

Just a couple of blocks from the Cedar Point entrance. A hotel that still has grass & trees. This family owned business is definitely a place to recommend to your family & friends. The pub @ Graham's is a quaint place to unwind after a day at the park. The food was also great! The family goes out of there way to make you feel at home. We will be back!

REcently we stayed at the South Shore Inn and I wanted to let you know that we enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was so clean (in fact cleanest room we have ever stayed in) and we never had to ask for towels, tissues,etc. everything was always there. When traveling we appreciate this very much. We will be sure to stop back when in the Sandusky area and will be sure to recommend South Shore Inn. Thank you for making our stay in Sandusky so enjoyable.

There is nothing better than being able to leave the park after a long day and just have to go a hop, skip and a jump to get ... to the hotel. One thing, the restaurant and bar were not open. I think they should be open for the weekends that Cedar Point is open. Also, we had a jacuzzi room and the jets in the tub did not work very well. Other than that it was a really nice place to stay.

This hotel is a family owned. They go out of there way to make you feel at home. The hotel is about a mile to the entrance to Cedar Point and is away from all the traffic and noise. Rooms were clean and staff very friendly.
