Going down hill fast .
By ,
Did not stay here. We came for dinner. We brought about 25 people to enjoy an evening to include dinner and some local music. Service was very poor and the food was too. Miss managed and under staffed, brought the displesure to the attention of Frank and he could care less. With the right ownership and attitude this place could be awesome, we heard it was going ito forclosure and this is why we went to try and create interest.

Love this place!!!!!!!!
By ,
I love the old charm of this place. My husband and I live in Hanford, and love to stay at the Inn on occasion. It is like stepping back in time. If you are searching for a place with character and style, this is it. It is a fun getaway, with fabulous food and just a down home feeling!

would never never stay at the IRWIN INN again!
By ,
when we checked into our hotel room it had a broke toilet so they gave us another room which was suppose to be an upgrade. In their supposed upgrade there was a bottle of personal hygine item under the sofa cusion the claw foot tub had left over soap bar from last guest yuk!! but the worst there was a rehersal dinner our first night we finally fell asleep and was awoken at 10:45 pm by first a knock on our door and then a phone call asking if they could take our air conditioner out of our room to give to another guest. Duh NO will we ever be able to sleep here. The next day I spoke to the owner and told him how unprofessional that was. and informed him he should have not even called our room, and suggested he could have taking the air conditioner out of first room with the broken toilet since no one was staying there but the owner informed me that he had to take it out of his room and he did'nt sleep all night like that was my fault. This visit was for my 82 year old grandma so she could go see the town and old friends that she grew up with. My family had sceduled a tea at the Irwin Inn so that we could visit with some family that still lives in the area the scone were so hard and burnt none of us ( 9 guest) could eat them the sandwiches were so nasty the pasta was okay so we all gobbled it up and the desserts were okay they were from costo and the center was still frozen worst tea I had ever had the girl serving us was very helpful and the hot tea were the only thing worth while at this place

Will never return
By ,
Noise - couldn't sleep There was a wedding that was held the first day of our stay and the reception went into the evening with the music and noise levels being absolutely unbearable. The wedding reception was right in the middle of the courtyard which made it impossible to enjoy any part of the grounds unless you were a member of the wedding party. The drinking and loud noise went on into the early hours of the morning. The people in the rooms next to ours didn't stop slamming doors and talking loudly until at least 2 in the morning. NOISE - MATTRESS The mattress was incredibly hard and probably hadn't been replaced since the time the Inn was built. I had never had the opportunity to visit a Bed and Breakfast and had always admired the beauty of the house and the grounds - I was very excited about visiting and love old buildings - unfortunatelyl this experience was a very negative one - as we were not informed that there was a wedding at the time we were staying so we could have made the decision not to stay there.

Relaxing
By ,
We've stayed twice at the Irwin Street Inn, the first time we were given a gift certificate by my sister (she lives three blocks from the INN) and we were impressed with the charm of the turn-or-the-century rooms and the buildings themselves. We loved sitting on the porch to take our breakfasts and the breakfast chef was more than accomadating. As a diabetic I have certain diet restrictions and they were careful to see to it that I had what I needed. But I must say, that it was more of a comprimise because they didn't have the best stock on hand for my condition. However, the chef did a good job of working with what he had. And for us the idea of a "bottomless" coffee pot was wonderful! And we were comfortable sitting at the table for at least a couple hours or more. If you're in Hanford, we recommend the Irwin Street Inn. And by the way, the manager/owner is a charming and considerate gentleman!

Awful
By ,
The sheets were thread bare and pilly. A pillow case had dirt on it. The only heat was from a space heater. Avoid this place.
