Sandpiper Inn, Virginia Beach

I was concerned when we booked this motel for a friend’s wedding weekend that the hotel would not be of good quality due to it being priced lower than many of the other hotels in the area. I was pleasantly surprised that I was wrong. The motel was very clean, the staff was very professional, quick and friends, the location was great- being close to night life and one row back from the beach. I was impressed and felt very safe in the motel.

The room we stayed was spacious, there were 3 of us staying so gave privacy to each of us had an ok kitchenette ok bathroom it was fairly clean had a really nice back patio that was shared among guest that we really liked. And pool was great.

This hotel was horrible. I work at a popular hotel chain and i know what to look for when going into a room. The first room we checked into was dirty, so we had to get another one at 9:00 at night. I had checked into a smoking room but when we got to it there were not ashtrays, no ice bucket, only 2 towels and 1 washcloth. The floor was filthy, there was hair in the bath tub, no alarm clock, and the remains of the party that was there the night before. The whole night there were people outside of the room talking and partying loud, and everytime someone went in or out of the room we could hear the doors slam. And when my husband got up to get a soda at 4:00 in the morning his key would not let him back in. The front desk was closed at that time so he had to wake me and my 3 yr old daughter up just to get back into the room. We left at 10:00 a.m. and the front desk was still closed.

well lets see..first off the front desk people are terrible. They walk around with now shoes on. Very unbusiness like. They have people that live there, which i thought hotels were for people to visit. The front desk closes at 9:00pm. After that if you need anything at all dont plan on getting it. They do not come and clean you room. All they ask is if you need towels and when you do get towels the towels are stained with who knows what. I would never ever stay at this hotel again

I THANK FOR 2 NIGHTS COSTINGS 412.00 YOU SHOULD HAVE CLEAN TOWERS THERE AND CLEAN WINDOWS TO LOOK OUT AT AND STRIP THE BATHROOM DOWN CLEAN

i can definatly say i hate this place. When we got there they charged up an outragous price since it was the only aviable we stayed... they charged us cash after thy charges my credit card, sayin it didnt work... 400+ dollars in total...for 1 night... The bathroom light didnt work, and not even enough towels for 2 people... We had 4. And after 9pm there is no service at the office to even help... Not only that the parkin lot was too full to park in... I had to park at a meter and wake up every 3 hours to make sure my car wouldnt get towed. I would say the only thing good about this hotel is the view of the lake around back... Beautiful... I will say that i will never ever stay there again.

The price was inflated due to the Memorial weekend. The office closed after 9pm and if you needed something there was no one to help you. The phone in the room did not work and the tv remote did not work. I saw baby cockroaches on our last night there. The towels were rough to the touch and the sheets were not clean there was a bug (not roach) washed into the sheet on the bed. The parking lot got so full at night that people parked in front of other cars and blocked the cars in. If you wanted to leave you couldn't, we had to keep asking for more towels the service was not good. The people who stayed there were loud and did not care how loud there were and made me feel uncomfortable even walking through the parking lot, the people stayed at the motel and hung around yelling and whistling at everyone. The pool was full of water but we were told at the front desk that something needed to be checked out on the pool before anyone could use it. I am grateful we had a place to stay on this very busy weekend, but I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will never stay at Sandpiper inn ever again.

Well , Where shall I start. Ok Let's see we had baked potatoes in the oven that were there for god knows how long and black bread top the fridge and bugs all over the place, it's a great location but that's it. Also while we were there a little baby turned blue and went to the hosptial. (foreginer) the price was disguesting for what we had to deal with! people be for warned. the pool well lets just say, I would have been better off swimming in a puddle.

What I liked about this motel was, the increadable view of the lake. Watching the sunset was very beautiful. It's also very close to the beach. But What I didn't like was that there were cockroaches. Other than that, I liked it for its price and its view.
