Sandpiper Inn, Virginia Beach

it was the worst hotel i ever saw it was very dirty there was hole inthe wall dirt all around the bathtube and toilet there was no light in kitchen food on the wall and the carpet was very dirty

wonder who can give this place a 3 or4 star unless one is blind or under the influeuence or super broke. unless you dont have an alternative or you are broke, or you dont care, stay away.. this is one dirty, run down ghetto. if you live in ghetto it fits you well. if you are a person of dignity get the hell out of there. Bring your date out here and you will be single by the morning. Dont be mislead by the positive reviews they might be from the foreigners running the poor dirty place (sorry for them). please stay away, save some money and enjoy a real 3 star hotel not a motel,. knights inn is far much better .if you are broke.

What I liked about this motel was, the increadable view of the lake. Watching the sunset was very beautiful. It's also very close to the beach. Other than that, I liked it for its price and its view.

I'm not sure where all these other people stayed, or perhaps there's been a change in management, but I think the sandpiper Inn is a fantastic hotel for the price. I picked it because it was the cheapest rate available ($59/night), so I didn't have high expectations (especially after reading the reviews here). But I was very pleasantly surprised to find a huge, immaculately clean room, with a kitchenette (stove top, microwave, fridge) and very nice furniture. I'm actually writing this FROM my hotel room (free Wi-Fi Internet !) and felt obliged to chime in based on how completely inaccurate the other reviews are based on my experience here. Friendly staff (lent me a corkscrew), great location (1 block from boardwalk and beach), and nice room (even this smoking room doesn't stink.) I like this sandpiper inn…….

After seeing the other reviews, I was reluctant to stay here. But let me tell you, I'm glad I did. I checked the prices all around, and if you are on a budget, this is the place to stay. Our room was clean and there were no bugs. It is not the "Plaza or the Hilton", so if you are expecting that, I suggest you move on. You are right across from the beach and boardwalk, good location. My only complaint is still the parking. Parking is very tight. The first night I had to park in front of the office... but the night manager was friendly and helpful. Plenty of room for a family of 5. I would stay there again.
