Beware - this hotel does not honor reservations!

Rim rooms which we reserved once before here were not available upon our arrival. This time, we reserved 7 months in advance and confirmed our reservation many times for rim rooms. But, the owner had given 8 of our rooms to other guests when we arrived with no advance notice to us.
Amenities, condition of rooms, service could all be improved, and mandatory tips to staff were not shared with porters or probably other service providers. This level of dishonesty in operations will prevent our ever returning to Hotel Divisadero Barrancas.
The owner also owns Via Cobre Tour Company, and our group had many problems with services provided - two train tickets through Copper Canyon not purchased, 12 cabins on ferry to Baja not purchased, 7% refund for traveler cancelling due to terminal mother. This level of service with Via Cobre will prevent ever using their services again. Beware!
