If this is a 5 star hotel ...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/04/07
The lobby, restaurants, pool and rooms were nice - the bed UNUSUALLY hard. (I stayed in a suite on the 13th floor). The staff was atrocious. Unfriendly, not very helpful, and hotel cabs? 3 - that's it. Security is present all over, though they didn't seem to do much other than walk/stand around. No questioning of incoming "visitors" or "guests". The area is a short walk to the street markets, which is advisable to leave your purse/wallet at the hotel safe. If you aren't a "city" person, be prepared & be careful. The driveway is gated at night. The mall isn't anything to jump up and down about. Same as an American mall - same shops, different prices. (boring). If I HAD to return to Caracas, I'd stay at the Tamanaco Hotel.

Really good
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/06
The hotel itself is great what I dislike is the location cuz there is a lot of robbery and poberty near the hotel, you can see the anarchy of this country just walking around the hotel, by the way never try to walk alone or with jewellery you could be kiddnaped, I would recommend you to go to Los Roques or the Amazon forest.

When I visited Caracas, I never imagine there could be such a nice and luxury hotel. It´s rooms are big and confortant. I took a shower tree times a day, because the bathroom is absolutly amazing. The service is very good, there are kind people willing to help you evry time you need. I recomend it!!!!!!

Great hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/14/05
The hotel itself is a beautiful piece of architecture. On the bottom of the building there is the lobby with marble floors and expensive sculptures and paintings. At the end of the lobby there is a grand staircase that takes you down to the ballrooms and the restaurants. The rooms are beautifully appointed and feature advance technology. The hotel is located in a major financial district right beside EL RECREO mall, which has from boutiques to department stores. The mall is eight stories tall, and there is also two office buildings from the country's major cellphone communications company (Movilnet).
