Love it - Love it - Love it

The location and the atmosphere was wonderful. The decor and cleanliness was over and above what I expected. City Zen was beautiful and the food great! The spa is a hidden treasure and is the place to go. I cant always leave town but with this hotel nearby I feel like I have. I would highly reccomend this hotel group and I cant wait to go to the one in Miami!

I did not want to leave
By ,
The location of the hotel was great for sightseeing. I had a large room but the view was facing an area under construction. The food was excellent, there was a spa on the premises. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. The bathroom was huge! Larger than the average hotel room. Lots of marble, large glass enclosed shower with upgraded fixtures, separate whirlpool bath. Tastfully decorted...there was a keyboard and computer hook-up in my room through the televison. I was in heaven and I plan to return.

Wonderful Experience
By ,
Everything about this hotel is absolutely perfect. I came to D.C. for a conference and stayed for a week in November. My experience turned out to be more pleasure than business. The rooms are huge and beautiful. The bathrooms are to die for All staff seemed genuinely happy, were very helpful and extremely polite. The food was the best I’ve ever had at any hotel. The spa left me speechless. I am planning a weekend getaway with my best friend and we are definitely staying here to relax and catch up....I can't wait!!!! The only negative experience I had was related to the secret service being everywhere and extremely rude. Other than that everything was perfect.

Lives up to the hype
By ,
Although the immediate surroundings are still a bit under development (1330 Maryland Ave SW) and with train tracks running close by, I still had a great time at the MO. The room was spacious, comfortable and well-decorated. The bathroom was comparable to the Ritz. The outdoor space on the ground level overlooking the Potomac is a nice touch. The front desk staff seemed abrupt at times, but the concierge was great!

Try the Spa
By ,
Oh my.. this resort is beautiful and scenic. I went to the spa for full body treatments and relaxation. They know how to relax you there! I even had a steak and eggs breakfast while relaxing in the candle light relaxation suite! I enjoyed the huge jazcuzzi and the rainforest shower! Near the White House! Enjoy

Exceeded my expectations
By ,
Well, first of when you get to the hotel entrance your greeted by a little sitting area across the street. The doormen made you feel so welcome(besides the fact they get paid to greet) and at home. I loved every moment of it, the bartender teddy was great, waitress senait was great. It was close to all the sites. my greatest memory of the mandarin in washington is its home-like style.

Terrible service for business meetings
By ,
I attempted to book a meeting at this hotel. The staff was the most disorganized and unprofessional staff I have ever dealt with. I strongly recommend that all meeting planners avoid the Mandarin.
