Hotel Meghniwas, Jaipur

I gotta say this hotel really was great! P.S. if you use SweetHotelDeals. Net for booking this hotel they usually have some pretty good hotel deals at this time of the year!

Stayed here twice in Oct 2006. Am fully satisfied. Cost about $50-60 for a double room but was worth it. Will definitely stay there again. Did not eat there so can't comment on the restaurant or food. The ambience was good and the pool clean, unlike some other places. jaggi

We stood at the place 2 nights in January 2007 and were impressed by the tidiness and the speedy and efficient service. Breakfast and dinner (buffet) are recommendable. The landlady (she�s the head of the hotel, her husband is doing other business) rules a though regime and knows how to lead her employees. 24h internet-access, large rooms with adequate furniture, a pool and some nice garden swings completed our positive impressions of the place. Meghniwas is an oasis (and it is a really quiet oasis, a fact, that every traveller in India will appreciate). It is not the cheapest hotel in Jaipur, but we enjoyed it as we had the opportunity to have a rest (and spend silent nights) from huzzle-and-buzzle-Rajasthan!

super restaurant (interesting colonial dinner buffet), interior, art, textiles, furniture, cat, ambiance and price. it was freezing and we had a fan heater so were very snuggly. things you actually want to buy at the shop. don't go there if you like helpful, gushing staff. i liked them.

warm welcome, professionally run by an ex Army officer, grand old style building with traditional Indian hospitality. I loved my experience and would definitely go back some day. UBS

clean, efficient, friendly,just like home. food though clean and healthy is over priced. no hiccups what so ever. owners take personal interest in guests comfort. fair dealing, i have stayed at megh niwas 4 times. i am sure one can enjoy the stay at megh niwas.
