Not Safe!! A Truck Stop!

I stayed at this hotel as part of a convention blocked hotel. There were men hanging outside smoking in the mornings and evenings when I got off rom work. As I would exit the elevator coming in from dinner there were men sitting in the hall ways as I went to my room for the night. This was a very uncomfortable and unsafe trip. The hotel entry ways were dirty, the hotel as a whole was not somewhere I would ever reccomend. It was like a truck stop not safe for ladies traveling alone.

Great hotel

We throughly enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. Excellent free breakfast! Very nice pool and fitness center. Covered access to the mall was nice, even though most of the stores are vacant. There is room service from the Subway in the mall for free! There are 4 or 5 restaurants available, just a short drive around the mall. Garfields in the mall is an excellent place to eat and have a drink.

A nice reflection of what southeast arkansas has to offer for those who are not familiar with that part of the state as well as for those like me who return to that part of the state from which I grew up as a child.

I liked the cleanliness, as well as the location. I thought the price dosen't reflect with that part of the state. There's not much industry, high paying jobs and only 1 major university in the town. Where's the restaurants??? I'm from the area and I go back regulary. There's just no place to eat a nice dinner for a town of this size.

Want to know Why!!

I stayed at this holiday inn January 20, 2006 thur January 27, 2006. I was happy until the last night I stayed and I entered my room and my drawers, microwave, and refridgerator had been left opened. I called the front desk and I was told to speak to someone the next morning. I spoke with the housekeeping manager and she told me that it was routine for them to leave these things open. I do not understand why when I had things in the drawers and refridgerator. She told me that she will check with the person that cleaned my room. And that was it. I think that this was very inconsiderate and should not have happened at all.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality

I stayed there in June of 2005, just after it underwent some major renovations, and I was pleasantly surprised at the suberb quality of this hotel. I have been involved in hotel management for 16 years and can say it was one of the most comfortable hotels I've ever stayed in. The rooms were not overpowered with flowery cleaning products, the bed was very comfortable and cozy and the staff took pride in their property. To be honest, I didn't expect much out of any hotel property in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, but this place exceeded all my expectations. If you hauled it up from the roots and placed it on the west side of Manhattan, it would have exceeded my expectations.
