Nightmare end to a wonderful day.
By diger, 10/12/11
My son got married in Ripon which is out of town for us. I booked three rooms two months in advance of the wedding date. Plenty of time for the rooms to be cleaned, sheets to be changed and make sure everything was in order for our stay. My one sons room looked like the floor hadn't been vaccumed. He found a plastic grocery bag inbetween the sheets when he and his wife went to bed. My son got up the next morning and wanted to make some coffee in his room. Packages of coffee were already open. It was a beautiful fall morning and I wanted to open the window a little. I opened the curtains and OMG..... there were at least 25, probably more, flys between the screen and the window. They were alive and flying around. Couldn't open the window because all the flys would have come into the room. Had to close the curtains again because I couldn't stand to look at all the flys swarming like they were on some garbage pile. We had to use the sofa sleeper because we had an extra person with us. The sheets looked as though they hadn't been changed since the last person used it. Had to request clean sheets. Took over half an hour for someone to come and make up the bed. The sofa bed is like sleeping on a bed of nails. Mattress has springs in it and no matter where you sleep the springs are poking in your back, ribs and legs. My son and his new wife were booked into what was supose to be a special suite for their wedding night. Of course this suite cost more because it was supose to have more for the honeymoon couple. The in room hot tub was only big enough for one person. ( we are not overweight people) It was pretty small for even one person. How romantic for a honeymoon suite. The AC and heating unit in his room didn't work. The hotel sent someone up to fix it. After it was suposedly fixed the unit still didn't work right and clicked on and off every five minites. This kept my son and his wife from getting any sleep. The unit stoped working again about 4:30 a.m. No extra comps. like chocolate, fruit or a small bottle of champaine as promised. We were all compensated by having some reduction in the room price. The point is that these things should have been taken care of before anyone checkes into a room here. Having something wrong in one room could happen, but having these things wrong in three rooms tells me that this hotel isn't managed very well and that the staff is lazy and trys to get away with as little work as they can. This is supose to be the premier hotel in Ripon. Don't believe it! Stay somewhere else. I will not recommend or stay at this hotel again. I will go down the road to the mom and pop hotel for half the price where some of the rest of the wedding party stayed. They were very happy with their rooms and the service. In room hot tubs at this place were big enough for three people! If you didn't know this is one of the Hilton chain hotels. Hilton hotel in Milwaukee is even worse. Very discusted with this hotel all the way around. Don't stay here. There are a few more hotels with in 5 miles that have to be better.

Ripped Off in Ripon: The Dis-Comfort Inn
By Victoria, 7/27/07
If you enjoy over-priced rooms that smell like rotten zucchini and almonds, then pack your bags! You have arrived in Ripon, Wisconsin... WAY too far away from the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, but they'll steal your money just the same. Normally, rates aren't above $80/night but during the air show season, they jump to 3 times that amount for 10 times LESS service and cleanliness. You can also hear your neighbors "as clear as day" and all through the blessed night. Yes, you get the joy of hearing EVERYONE's wake up calls - every 15 minutes starting at 5:15am. It's all the camping fun -but in an overpriced hotel.

Comfort Suites, Ripon
By Snowed, 5/6/07
Clean, nice pool/hot tub area, close to conference center. Onsite shop for small items. Continental breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage, etc. Only complaint: Beds could be more comfortable. Very hard.
