Lund's Cottages have been owned by the same family since they were built in the 'Thirties. My family and I have been staying there during visits over the last six years. The rates and location can't be beat: just a short walk from the village, but far enough to avoid any loud carousing at night. The cabins are immaculately clean. They have cable TV, but not wifi--but you can either buy service from Boreal or go to one of the wifi sites in town. Trendy they are not. The furniture is "vintage." But if you want to pay twice or thrice more for trendy and fancy, make reservations at one of the new places.
We have been coming up to Grand Marais for years. The cottages/cabins at Lund's are a great value. Ron Lund is a very nice guy. The cabins are clean and well maintained. A little dated, but typical for this area. We aways come back and would definately recommend. They are just up the hill from downtown. A nice stroll. Check them out!
