Sutton Bay Resort, Newman Lake

We recently vistied this resort from the west side of the state. we looked at their website and looked at reviews and decided to make Sutton Bay Resort our home away for home during our trip. Upon arrival the management quickly came to assist us with locating our spot and were willing to assist. After setting up we walked around to make ourselves familiar with the surroundings and very quickly discovered that this resort has been around for a very long time and that efforts to upgrade and keep the resort appealing have been made. I really enjoyed our stay and next time we are over in the area we will choose Sutton Bay Resort.

When my husband and I made the decision to look for seasoanal spot our goal was to finda close-in, kid welcoming resort with a family feel.... Sutton fullfillls all of our needs and then some. Some of our boys greatest memories thus far, were made at sutton ay. I could allaberate but the list goes on Sutton Bay and especially Wayne & Linda are such important parts of our families life we keep touch even during the 'off season'.. this all comes from the accomodation and hard work they put into the summer months ensruing everyones stay, if for the day, or for the summer is the best it can be. thanks Wayne for workng nyour fingers to the bone and linda for breaking away from the phones and the store never.....making sure customers always come first..... the Brinkman familhy loves and misses you.

Sutton Bay Resort is very beautiful.It is very family orientated.They had a beautiful 4th of July celebration.They have activities for children on occasion.The rates are very resonable.Management is always quick to resolve any issues that arise. I would recommend this camp resort to anyone.

Sutton Bay is a Beautiful resort and we have found it to be extremely family friendly, clean and affordable. Management is always helpful and our experience has been that there is NO tolerance for underage drinking or out of control drinking of any kind for that matter. Managements goal is clearly to provide a fun, safe and clean atmosphere for families to spend the day, week or even summer camping, fishing, swimming or hiking. They (management) have devoted their life to this cause and this is clearly evident. We look forward to many more memories at Sutton Bay and it is our opinion that any negative postings came to be as a form of retaliation from a person or persons that either had trouble following the simple rules or were refused service for a valid reason, almost always for the protection or consideration of the other guests. Thanks Wayne and Linda for making us a part of the Sutton Bay family!!

This is a beautiful location, and many of the seasonal renters are good people, but it ends there. The resort is very run down, facilities are not sanitary, and underage drinking is tolerated. There is very little control over behavior of visitors. Management doesn't follow any acceptable business practices and gives favorite renters advantages at the expense of others. Be sure to get a receipt for any money you pay, get everything in writing, and don't pay too far in advance -- if your plans change, or management asks you not to come back, you'll never see your money again.
