Sunshine Motel, Cabins & Campground, Ontonagon

I have only stayed in the cabins. They have everything you need to cook and have meals in. Comfortable beds. Living area. Even the smaller cabins, 1 bedroom with 2 double beds, is bigger than hotel rooms for 2 that I've paid $100.00 a night for. For families or 2-3 couples you can rent the house size cabin. Absolutely lovely! There was plenty of room for our family of 5. Since it's located on the opposite side of the hotel from the cabins, it is really quite private. The location of Sunshine is perfect. Just a walk across the street and a short walk through some trees and your on a Lake Superior beach. Beautiful shoreline! A short drive in one direction takes you to Ontanagon. Go in the other direction and a short drive takes you to Porqupine Mountain. Drive up the peninsula to see some more beautiful shoreline and fabulous light houses. The couple which runs the motel and cabins are so wonderful. Kind, curtious, friendly and deliteful. Anything you need you will get with a smile. Of all the state I have been to, 23 so far and some more than twice, the Sunshine Motel and Cabins will always be my favorite place to stay.
