Good with small kids
We did a one week rental to get out of the city during the mid-winter break. Were not sure about it because the weather forecast was bad. However, it turned out pretty good. We rented a 2 bedroom condo, which was plenty big enough for my husband and I, 5,6, and 9 year olds. They really enjoyed looking for "treasure" (or trash) on the beach. The front desk lady said that the bad weather makes for better treasure hunting. We had a great view of the surf, so we knew when the tide was out.
They have a small playground on property as well as a putting green. We played out there for a short while. There is also a basketball court, but we didn't know they had balls until we were leaving. The condo we rented had connect four (the board game) which I had completely forgotton about (I used to play when I was little), and that was probably the most popular thing of all. Overall, it was good to get out of town and just hang out with the family, and this was a good home base for it. The other great thing was the condo had a full kitchen, with pots, pans, dishes, silverware... everything we needed to eat in about 2/3 of the time. I think we'll be back this summer when we can spend more time outside. And it was close enough that if my husband or I had an emergency at work, we could zip back to Tacoma for work (less than 2 hours).
