The owners are really nice folks and take pride in this place. The cabins were spotless on the inside and out, the resort grounds were nice and everything was clean...even the fire rings. They were also very helpful in showing us where to go on the trails and what places we could get a good fishfry at (The Kro-Bar). If you like to ATV, this place looks to be right in the middle of all the trail systems, and only a few miles off of the US 2 trail corridor. Though we didn't go swimming, the beach looked nice with a sandy bottom and after riding on dusty trails all day, I was tempted to jump in. The campground looks like a typical N. Wisconsin campground and the sites look to be everything from wooded to out in the open...all nice. Another thing I noticed is this place is very quite at night. You maybe hear folks talking around a campfire, but that's about it. I hate places that allow people to act like animals just because they may be on vacation. This place is the kind of resort that is perfect for families or friends to have a great vacation. As far as what I disliked about this place...not much. Really the only thing is too many pines obscuring what would be a great view of Iron Lake from the cabins and the bathrooms are very tiny, but these are old cabins so no biggie. All in all you can rent a nice little cabins at this place that are about the same price as an average hotel, except you get way more for your dollar at this resort. We will be back!
Our whole family has been going there at least twice a year-bi-seasonal- since Randy and Evie bought it! Mid 1990's I do believe. It has everything we want. Our children have grown up there. Great resort, Beautiful scenery, Lots to do, and wonderful friends! It is our second home. Everything is clean and well maintained. If you forgot something at home, they probably have it or they definitely know where you can get it. Randy puts on the best fish fry and no one can compare to Evie's specials. We love them and can not wait to get back!!!! Oh that is right I leave in the morning for a week at TMR. YEAH!!!
I would recommend Top O' the Morn to anyone. It is reasonably priced, has great fishing, nice swimming, beautiful lake, and is close to many other activities.
I've been going to this resort since the current owners have been there 10-15 years. I have tent camped there, but mostly stay in the cabins. The owners are very nice and will help with anything you need. Very friendly people. Cabins and overall resort are very well kept and reasonably priced. there isn't anything I've disliked about the resort since I've been going there. Very quite and relaxing. The fishing is excellent.
