Have been several times.

We have visited Camp Holiday as our summer camping vacation several times over the past few years. The campgound is well maintained and the lake is small and quiet. We rent cabins when we go and spend anywhere from the 3 day stay to the full week. The cabins are well stocked with the essentials and are for the most part clean. The linens are always clean and nice however, I have had issues with the kitchen in a couple of the cabins where I needed to wash anything we needed to use prior to using it. (sticky silverware, dirty dishes and pans) We have always enjoyed our stay here, but I would not recommend staying in cabin 10 as it is on the other side of the campground from the beach, gameroom, woodshed and store. We have small children and swimming, fishing and playing in the park is part of our daily activities while we are there. Being that all of these activities are located at the far end of the campground, we spent a great deal of our time packing and unpacking our vehicle with the gear needed for our children to enjoy these activities and driving our family back and forth through out the day. After a week's stay, I felt I wasted way too much time doing this. It really does take away from the vacation feel to constantly find yourself packing and unpacking.
As for the value of this Northern getaway, the prices have continually rose over the last few years, though I don't feel like much has been added to the campground to make up for the increase in price. They did add satellite TV this last year to each of the cabins, but I personally do not take my family on vacation to the lake to watch TV, so this was not an added value for us. The owners do have a hot deals area listed on their website where you can occasionally find deals on cabins last minute that they have not been able to rent, so this could be an option for anyone that is maybe not too excited about paying the full price.
We may be shopping for a new summer vacation rental spot this year as there seems to be many comparable campgrounds in the Norther MN area that are more reasonably priced then Camp Holiday has become. It is a shame however, as we have enjoyed our time there, just maybe not enough for the price they are asking these days.
