Pope's Gresham Lodge, Woodruff

We really liked the location and the resort owners, although the cabins seemed really dingy and unnecessarily so. They could easily spruce up the place by replacing the carpet and the couches. Other than that, we really liked the place. Very nice, right on the water. The owners are very generous and sweet people. I wouldn't mind going there again, but would look for someplace that was a bit better kept up. If you can look past the carpet and the couches, it really wasn't bad at all. Six cabins dating from the 1930s. There are half a dozen "seasonals" on the property. Some playground equipment, and a nice treehouse for the kids. Fishing off the dock for panfish was enough to keep the kids happy. Lots of stuff to do in Minocqua/Woodruff area. Loved the area. Owners have a bar/restaurant that boasts a great Wed. and Fri. fish fry. We were so busy frying up our own panfish that we didn't try it!
