Ford's Cottages, Cedarville

Fords Cottages were first opened in the 1950’s and have recently transferred ownership to Ray & Kim Arnold. Renovations and improvements are beginning September 2009 and we hope to complete the up-date within one year. No easy task! This lovely waterfront property is in need of some TLC. Some of the changes will include new appliances, furniture and remodeled bathrooms. We will be brightening the exterior with new paint colors, landscaping and added sundecks over looking the lake as well as resurfacing the driveways. Cleaning the shore line is also a top priority and we plan to bring sand in to form a beach area. As always there is plenty of dock space to bring your boat. We will be incorporating barbecue and picnic areas open to all guests. This is where we have spent our family vacation ever since I was 2 years old. I am now 22. We come every summer and stay for a week. Whether it's fishing off of the dock, or on the lake, walking into town to get an ice cream, having a bon fire or just simply sitting outside looking out at the water. there is no other place that I would rather be. The owners are great and are always willing to do anything to make your stay that much better. They have become a part of our family in a way. There are many things to do in the U.P., but if you're looking for a place to lay back, relax, and just enjoy life, I highly recommend this beautiful place. Melanie Falk
