I was extreemly pleased with the quiet atmosphere. The nice clean pool is located at the back of the property and it gives you a nice place to relax. You cannot ask for better service or friendlier personnel.
Very clean, lawn and flowers perfect a great place to stay. We had stayed at a lot of other places but this was the best. We were there during the truck and tractor show and was very quiet and peacefull even though they were sold out.
My husband and i go to st. ignace every year, we stay at the Tradewinds every year. It is so peaceful at that end of town and Carol is just the nicest and friendlest person. The rooms and the service and prices are really good. They give us a good price on the room even on weekends. We will go back there every year.
At the end of the St.Ignace strip, very reasonable, clean, nice rooms and friendly hosts, we always stay here, while in St.Iggy. Also nice places available to visit on their grounds with a gazebo and picnic tables.
mike and carol have done a terrific job with improving the overall charm of the tradewinds. i was fortunate enough to be their carpet cleaner for a few years when i lived up there, and i was always impressed with the effort they put into their business to appeal to their customers. i would not hesitate to stay there any time i get back up to the north country. john hutchison, former resident and gustin cleaning's main man
My wife and I stayed at the Tradewinds Motel for a 4 day Labor Day getaway. Our first visit to the Michigans UP turned out to be one of the most beautiful weekends of the year. The town was packed with tourist taking part in the 52nd walking of the Mackinac Bridge (a highly recommended event) which helped us to appreciate the quieter location at the north end of town. The rooms were large, clean, and the beds comfortable and the price was very easy on our wallet. We especially enjoyed the view through vintage Lake Cottage style windows. The owners, Mike and Carol made us feel like we were visiting relatives (the good kind), and helped us to plan our days. They were a hoot!! The price was especially appealing compared to high prices at other hotels in town on that weekend. If you haven't been to St. Ignace or Mackinac Island and the surrounding attractions - it is worth the drive. I would recommend this hotel to any singles, couples or families who appreciate a quieter getaway at a great price. Maybe we'll see you there! Mark & Rhonda - Pekin IL
