Island View Resort on Nest Lake, Spicer

Can I put my tent on the grass?...Absolutely Not! You have to put your tent on the pea rock. (parking spot) Can we have 2 small tents on one site? Absolutly Not! But, it says you can have up to 4 people in one site.... Absolutely Not! We went there with a small motorhome and 2 tents. We got two spots. The first night we only had one tent. They had to set it up on the pea rock. (What the heck is the grass for?) Our son was going to join us and set up a very small pup tent, the following night. We were told... Absolutely Not! He would have to get his own site.... but we don't have any left! So, you can have one huge tent with 4 people but not 2 small tents with 3. We left and went to Sibley State park. It was wonderful! We stayed one night at each place. We had 2 sites at both locations. At Sibley Park we had one of our daughters join us in the motorhome and our son in his pup tent. We also bought wood and ice there. It was $25 less at Sibley(with 6 people and a dog)than The Absolutely Not Resort (aka, Island View Resort)(with 4 people and a dog). Island View was an awful experience. The staff was rude. They have a 4 wheeler going around with a trailer that makes a terrible squeeking noise. The shower was gross.
