Trouthaven Resort, Joseph

Trouthaven is a quiet, old fashioned, family run resort on the Northwest side of Wallowa Lake. The nine cabins are cozy and comfortable, and the entire place is like stepping into a simpler place and time. It's the only resort on the West side of the lake, so it's blissfully quiet and also very close to Joseph. If you are looking for a luxury resort with all the amenities, Trouthaven is not the place for you. If you're looking for a relaxing place where you can enjoy the lake and your family without a lot of distractions like TV and wi-fi, then you'll love it. The cabins are small, cozy and rustic, but immaculately clean. The beds are comfortable, and the price cannot be beat. We had a wonderful stay at Trouthaven, and can't wait to go back.

When asked my favorite place to go on vacation, I say Trouthaven. It is a place where you can relax and spend time with family. I love that there is not a TV or telephone in the cabins, so the focus is spending time with each other. The staff is wonderful, and as my daughter pointed out, we always want to stay "just one more day."

This was an amazing place. Truly monumental. The family who runs the resort are wonderful people. They run it as a "side job" and are very intelligent and intriguing. The cabins are rustic...a step back. I LOVED THAT. Trouthaven is the only resort that actually resides on lakeshore property. I will go back every year.
