If, for you, it's all about the fishing, I heartedly recommend this place. I've been itching for years to experience what I was told was one of the best bass / pike / pan fish lakes in Michigan and was not disappointed. My sons & I camped in one of the "rustic" camp sites & rented a pontoon boat ( a bit pricey) for 1 full day. The top notch staff was friendly & helpful. The bait & tackle shop is well supplied & carries essential camping & boating items (and open at 6 am for the hard core fisherman). The entire place was very clean & well maintained.The porta-potty in the rustic camping area was the cleanest & freshest smelling one I have ever seen. "Inside" facilities & showers are also available. This place is a few miles off the main roads and really "back in the woods" but, hey, isn't that where the best fishing spots are supposed to be? If you are looking for a lakeside "resort" for swimming, entertaining small children, etc. this is probably not the place for you. If you are looking for a great fishing resort, put this place high on your list. My only regret is that we had only a day & a half to spend here. We will be back, for sure.

We were traveling to the area for a family reunion and decided to give this place a try for RV camping. We had a great time. The staff was very helpful and friendly. As we approached this place was tucked in the woods, we were a bit weary. But, we came to find that it had all the things we were looking for to fulfill our family getaway. The showers and bathroom were taken good care of. There was a nice family restaurant. They also had a lodge, some cabins, and boat rentals. The only bummer was the lack of swimming opportunities. It is the perfect place for fishing!
