Autumn Hills Resort, Mio

Stop here and don't go any further. Autumn Hills is the place to be! We stayed in Cottage 4 and it was not only priced economically but was also immaculately clean and furnished beautifully. The owners update the cottages frequently and we were impressed. The cottages are set up like duplexes with some having adjoining doors to provide larger groups to open the door for use of both cottages and more sleeping accommodations. Our cottage did not have a kitchen (per our request) but others do. Those with the adjoining door will have a kitchen in at least one cottage for both units to share. Sitting on the balcony and viewing the pond, the trails for 4 wheelers and other vehicles (I can't remember what others), the sand volleyball court presently being built, picnic tables, fire pit, quaint wood foot bridge crossing the pond, birds, and the entire 85 acres is relaxing and a wonderful way to start the morning or end the day peacefully. The owners are friendly, helpful, and most accommodating. If ever in Mio again, I wouldn't look anywhere else to stay.

Just booked again for the 10th year in a row. The owners bought the place that year and have done amazing changes to all of the rooms. Because it is in the country and high up on a hill, air conditioning has never been used. Each building has it's own deck - great to go out and have your coffee in the a.m. and look for deer. Each room has a "theme" to the decorating. Each year we go back, we choose a different room so that we can see what the room offers. My family and I love going here and we usually bring anywhere from 20 to 40 people with us. Lots of room for all to stay and enjoy the grounds. Firewood is provided for our nightly campfires. We would highly recommend this establishment.
