Scrumptious breakfast!
We liked visiting with other guests in the homey, old-fashioned parlor, complete with a fluffy yellow cat. Breakfast the next morning was unbelievably good. I was a little disappointed in our room, which was accessed through the back porch by climbing narrow stairs covered with stained beige carpeting. (To be fair, we saw other rooms, and they were much nicer for the same price. So just be sure to ask for a room accessed through the parlor. One of these has a private bath.) Also, if you are superstitious, be warned. Another guest showed me a recent newspaper article featuring the Chapman Inn as a "certified haunted house", with most activity occurring in rooms seven and nine. Of course, we were staying in nine. However, nothing happened but a good night's sleep followed by as good a breakfast as I've ever had.
