Splendor at the Wickiup Village Cabins
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/9/11
Being from the east coast, one is use to the sounds of the hustle and bustle of the enironment.
Staying at the Wickiup brought me back to my roots. Words are indescribeable of the beauty at the Wickiup. Our cabin came with a kitchen equiped with a stove and oven, microwave, kitchen sink and countertop, along with cooking utensils, pots and pan, as well as plates, cups, mugs and drinking glasses. There was a coffee pot, with coffee, refrigerator and table. Very clean. Absolutely charming and decor to match the environment. Outside there was plenty of space to park a car, truck, motorcyle or trailer. there were lawn chairs outside of the cabin to enjoy the beautiful scenary. also, when we walked out of our cabin, there was a beautiful, babbling brook. I just wanted to jump in, but it was way to cold because the water comes fromt he mountain. If I was 20 years young, maybe my heart could take the cold, lol.... We were surrounded by beautiful tall trees and mountains, it was very quiet. We were walking distance to the Cheyenne Crossing, where you could grab a bite to eat or a beer, get gas or a small trinket to bring home.
Also, breakfast was included and you were meet other guest under the pavillion for brakfast and strike up a conversation. The owners Les, and Jackie were the perfect host, as well as Stacey and her family. What a great group of good people!!
We can't wait to go back again, we love the Wickiup!
