Pine River Cabins, Wellston

This was the perfect idea of a northern vacation. Hunting, fishing, and the best service ever, they thought of everything! The cabins were older on the outside but some remodeled inside with good appliances, clean fresh and cozy beds, and most importantly they remember the little things i always forget to pack. I would not change a thing!!! I even felt guilty for paying so little for service that was priceless. I think they should double the rate, they could get it! Of course I didn't mind getting the best place in town for the lowest price. They even made breakfast for everyone FOR FREE! When I left they sent me on my way with canned chilie, pickles, salsa to die for, and to think they thanked me for comming. I felt like I was leaving my sisters house. I say if you want fancy walls and pricy service got to a hotel. If you want a northern escape with someone to do all the things you don't want to or forgot, and a place to make you feel like you are important and matter to them, and have the best time ever with some great stories to bring home, stay here!

There were no photos to look at prior to making reservations. Upon arriving we drove thru and kept going due to appearance. None of the cabins looked nice and some looked like they had broken windows. Did not look like a nice place to stay and would not recommend it to anyone.

The area is, where we liked to hunt & fish, and Snomobile. The place was not a Holiday Inn, but it was Kozy. Its a fun place. We plan to go back to Snowmobile this Winter. The Lady there, said they had a group that was working on getting the County open to ATV riding.

I enjoyed the location and the people bent over backwards to make my stay the best experience ever. The cabins gave that genuine northern get-a-way feeling. My cabin had newer tounge and groove floors and walls and the decor made me feel like I was in a home away from home. Appliances were either new or in great condition. Everything I needed was there and the only thing I needed to bring was my clothes and food (oh wait the owners even baked us a pie and bread, which was great.) Out of all the places I have stayed in the past 40 years, I have never met owners that treated me so good, I felt like family the moment I stepped on the property. They even brought fire wood to my site and started the fire for me, oh yeah and since I forgot bug spray they got some and gave it to me. You cannot buy service like that. These are god people and a great place to stay I would recommend that you don't pass up this great stay at the best price in town.
