Just wanted to mention, after reading the last review, that a new owner has taken title. They will not be officially re-opened until Summer 2010 and are making dramatic changes. I have seen some of the work already and from what I have seen, it will soon be a charming pleasant memory-instilling slice of nostalgic Americana again.
Now you've got to see this. Talk about a turn around! These places are among the best experience I have had in years! I can't say enough to compliment the remake of these cute cottages restored to their glory days. YOU'VE got to try them. They are renamed, "The Cottages of Wolfeboro" and you should have a look at them on HomeAway, listing number 233156. I will go back again and again.
My wife and I had the misfortune to stay at this place, the reservation was made by a family memeber for us to stay while we were up for a wedding. The shower was so filthy that neither of us attempted to walk on the floor with laying down a towel after we tried scrubbing the flor.
The furniture was torn, the chairs were rickety and the kitchen (rust all over) was terrible. We mentioned how unsatified we were, and the owner got very nasty. We wanted to leave early and we were told that we would not get any type of refund and stop bothering him.
Do you really want to stay here?
