The manager was friendly. The room was clean, and it was large (two bedroom apartment with kitchenette). But that’s where the positives end. Amenities were on the short end—only one roll of TP and one bar of soap in the room (no Kleenex or paper towels or dish detergent). There were no dishes, but the manager was very happy to throw together a bag of dishes, utensils, and pans when we asked. Most of the furniture, and the room in general, was in disrepair, and there was a very strong odor in the room. We finally figured out that a strong, headache inducing masking (to cover cigarette smoke?) fragrance had been used on all the cloth furniture and throw rugs. We had to haul the carpets and the tattered, stained futon “couch” into the shower and shut the door. Also found a very rotten partial package of hotdogs in the fridge.
