Chalet on the Lake, Stevensville

Chalet on the Lake in Stevensville, MI is a wonderful place to vacation. We stayed in a Chalet that was located on the lake front. Every morning I had coffee on the deck enjoying the wonderful views of Lake Michigan. There are 2 beaches, 2 swimming pools, tennis, volleyball, etc. The weather was beautiful. We spent many days at the beach or the pool. The kids had a great time and it was relaxing and fun for mom and dad too. The Chalet we stayed in was updated, clean and in good condition. I would definitely recommend a lake front Chalet to my family and friends. It is a good value and a fun place to vacation.

I have been a guest at the chalets for 14 yrs! i always have a great time! i learned my way around the area all the way to st. joseph. The staff is great! i have known pinkie since i have been going chalets and she is just awesome!! as well of course as the rest of the staff! Thank you again!!!

The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, there is lots to do, swim, tennis, Lake Michigan, nature trails, right by Grand Mere and Lincoln Parks! Great place to spend some get away time, better than a little motel room, I love it there, can't wait to go back next year !! I highly recommend it over a hotel room any day!

Chalet ont the Lake has a beautiful private beach and lots of other things to do with 2 swimming pools, tennis, a small lake and much more. The location is great for other things in the area such as wineries and close to the casino but far enough away to get night life and then get down time. The staff are very accommodating and work to give you the best they can with extras like ice onsite and other things to purchase. Would certainly go back every chance we get

Our cabin "smelled" and VERY DATED! The staff is RUDE! I would NEVER stay there again. We will be back to St. Joseph but will definitely look for a beach house to rent. We love the area but were very "let down" by Chalet on the lake.

My cabin was a bit dated, but clean and well equipped. I really enjoyed the beach and the staff was very helpful and accomodating. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

This was our 7th year in a row going to the Chalet. We go with 3 other families for 4-5 days. To say the kids the kids look forward to it is an understatement. Our Chalet has a view of the lake that is great. It's only steps to the beach where you can see beautiful sunsets and start a bonfire. The pool is great and there is tennis, fishing, ping-pong, volleyball and bikes to rent. We've never had a problem with the Chalet being clean or the staff being helpful. How good your stay is will depend on how nice your Chalet is and how well the owner keeps it up. We have only been in 2 and they were both very nice. There is plenty of activities in surrounding areas like St. Joe. We highly recommend Chalet on the Lake

We had read reviews about Chalet on the Lake and most said it was geared toward family and they were right. It was nice to see our 2 teenagers actually enjoying something besides video games. Nice beach and pool. Kids played a lot of tennis before jumping in the water. The management here was great..........very helpful with directions and even a interesting history of this area of Michigan. Golfed at the new Harbor Shores Jack Nicholson signature course. Not all the holes have been completed (under construction) but the place is stellar. If you come, try Tosi's Italian restaurant 3 min down the street....a little pricey but no more than we spend in the city and the food is every bit as good.

The Chalets was a very pleasant surprise. Only 1.5 hours from our suburb of Chicago and you are away from the city grind. Great beach....really enjoyed the sunsets. We didn't really know the area (we used to go to Wisconsin a lot) but the manager "Pinky" told us about restaurants and some of the festivals going on in the area and her recommendations were right on. Had a great time at their local Venetian Festival in St. Joseph. Lots of activities on site...fishing, tennis and the pools. Weather was a little on the cool side but it was better than melting.

Didn't mind the cabin wasn't great wasn't terrible. Was relatively clean. Staff was bad - couldn't help us find anything to do in the surrounding area. We had a blast at the pools, their beach is awful, almost impossible to get in and out of the water it was extremely rocky (as a matter of fact it was the only rocky beach we found in the area 3 others were pure sand). There is a lot of fun stuff to do in the area, we will probably be back to the area but, not to the Chalet. Would have been an ok deal at half the price - but for 1200 for a week you can do much better in the area. OK for a long weekend but a week is too much.
