The Lodge at Rock Hill, Rock Hill

The pool was closed!!!!!!!!! The ENTIRE place needs a vacuum! Walls need to be washed! Garbage at every door step outside!!! Pool table with out balls. NOTHING for kids to do!!!!!! The front desk is VERY RUDE!!!!! I bet they get a lot of complaints which is why they are so confrontational. We stayed here for a 1/2 marathon. There were alot of people coming in on sunday. You would think that they would have put their best foot forward to put on a good impression. They only had 1 maid and begged towles at 8:00 am to pass them out again. Breakfast was a JOKE!!! They should not claim free breakfast. It was sparce. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

I am a firm believer of you get what you pay for and we paid a decent price for this extremely poor hotel. Our room in off season was $109 weekday and $137 weekend. The place is extremely run down, in desperate need of cleaning and upkeep. We checked in on Thursday night for the weekend, requested a queen deluxe room because we had our 22 month old w/ us and were in the back of the hotel. At the entrance was overflowing garbage cans, nice 1st impression. We realized the water was barely coming out of the pipes in the bathroom, called the front desk and were told they are having well problems and to let it run 20 minutes... that non of the other rooms were any better. The indoor pool was also not operational due to the well problems. On Friday we never received service to clean our room, take out the trash or change towels. My husband was told we had to request room cleaning from the front desk and was begrudgingly given extra towels for us. Saturday afternoon my keys did not work and it turns out the night desk had checked me out. (did this happen during my husbands request for more towels??? Suspecting it did). The front desk fixed this for me and finally had housekeeping come to our room. (We had a 22 month old and no where to throw our diapers anymore). The day staff was definitely more on the ball then the night desk staff. I would of given this place 2 star for cleanliness because the room itself was clean when we checked in but our friends checked in Friday evening and were given a room that had NOT been cleaned that day. They promptly left. For the money, this place is not worth it. There are zero activities once the pool is closed for children, there is barely a continental breakfast. I would rather of stayed at a lower priced hotel that I knew had water and cleaned my room once a day then waste money on this place. Unfortunately all the other local hotels were sold out.

The place has gone down hill and is very over priced. We stayed there many times before and it was 1st class, now it's last class. The breakfast was coffee, thats it. The place smells from mildew. The driveways need to be resurfaced. The physical structure is run down. OVER ALL STAY AWAY

Overpriced; lost my reservation; check in anyway because place was empty; when I called and asked for more pillows and they said "no more pillows" and they just hung up before I could ask a follow up question; next morning they ran out of cream cheese in the putative breakfast area during breakfast time; when I asked for more; the woman said that she would not bring any more because she will be closing soon.
