Summer Haven Resort, Monticello

Overall the accomodations at this cottage were mediocre. It states that pots and pans and dishes are provided. The dishes/cups/silverware were fine but the pots/pans were not fit to cook food in. We ended up going to the local Wal-Mart to pick up some disposable pans. There was a small couch that converted to a bed which was good, but I think for being a 4-6 person cottage another comfortable spot or two to sit would have been great. A microwave is essential, and even most hotels have microwaves but this cottage did not and the stove was not quite up to optimal working conditions. The location was great, the price was good. It was clean, didn't have any concerns there. This was the first year we have stayed overnight, and there are numerous cottages in the area which means competition. I believe that we may find another cottage next year.

Want to say this was a great place to be with my family i went with a family that has been going for 20 years and im hoping my kids will say the same . The people running the place makes you feel like family and that is very important .It was my family's first time going last year, but wont be are last. Thank you .
