Liked: Close to subway train #7 stop. Disliked: Room with no window. Dirty carpet and bathroom. No wireless connectivity. Avoid if you don't want to ruin your holiday.

Like a Home in NYC

I liked the staff, because we arrived there early in the morning of our check-in day and we realized that checkin time was 2.00pm so we requested the front desk people to give us a room at 4.00am in the morning and even though the hotel was full that night he got a room cleaned immediately as other people left early and gave us a room at that time..I remember that i was really tired by the 20hr Flight and how good I felt that time I really appreciate that friendliness, by the way rest of our stay way as smooth as first night and we experienced the same as promised by the management on the website.. I would recommend this to anybody..

We will stay here again.

When we (a mom with three young adult children) were driving there we wondered what we were getting ourselves into (trying to save money on a NYC trip), but when we pulled into the area of Queens Blvd. everything opened up and it was a really cool area. The room was great, attractive, clean, and comfortable, and as mentioned by the other reviews the subway was just a couple blocks away, and to our surprise it was quite easy to use and not a bit scary (small town girl). Add to all this free breakfast, free parking, and a great price for visiting NYC, and it all adds up to a great time. We will stay there again!

Great value and location

As has been mentioned before, good location for access to Manhattan. Fair price, very clean by any standards and very new! Breakfast a bit spartan, but sufficient. Good for families. Excellent restaurants within a few blocks. Main desk helpful and cleaning staff polite and efficient! WiFi! Fast!

Great Stay!

Liked the close proximity to the subway, the clean fresh look and smell of the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful. On our last day, they allow us to keep our bags at a "holding" location after we checked out, which allowed us to see more of NYC before our plane departed late afternoon.

Great hotel; Great price

The hotel was exactly as promised! It was close access to subway..2 blocks...clean rooms that look like the pic, all amenities as promised, clean, large tvs, good beds, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful. Save area and a great restaurant in next block...Casa Romana...that was one of the best I've been to in a long time. We will return. No negatives! I was really pleased!

New Years Eve problems

We expected it to be busy on New Years Eve, but La Quinta did not seem to be prepared. I had asked for a roll away bed when I made my reservations, but there were none when we arrived. Their excuse was that the hotel was full due to the holiday. They were not able to provide extra pillows and only one extra blanket also because of the holiday. I hope next year they prepare better for a full hotel. It was very convenient to the subway and there were great restaurants within walking distance. A taxi was requested the night before our departure and never arrived. We had to go out at 5:00 am and catch a taxi ourselves.

Great bang for your buck

Large rooms loads of hotel freebies...just dont accept a basement level room kind of noisy as of 5am when staff is preping the Breakfast and cleaning carts. 2 buses across the street go to the city the train is also a block away any nycwatertaxi.com avail during certain times. Free internet but they will not let you print. Be sure to call housekeeping and tell them you want your room serviced early. For 5 days I had to call and they cleaned my room after 6 pm...But next time I know. Nice breakfast room with free yummies. Room was very clean and over all It was a Great Bang for your buck
