Amazing inspiring place!!
By Mikey, 6/6/11
I went years ago and it was the most beautiful place i have ever been..The cottages are very comfortable with everything you need and theres stores About five miles away to get grocerys or what ever you need...One of the things that stand out to me was the family like atmosphere great place for friends ,,family or a quiet getaway for the two of you..One memory that stands out was each cabin came with a deck that put you out in the wilderness and when you first arrive they gave you a humming bird feeder to hang outside your window..Every morning it was refilled and you hung it out and then all day long humming birds would flutter in and out as you had brakfast lunch or dinner in front of the window...The scenery was breath taking and you could walk to the scenic game path or to the old fall rivers water fall...So many places to hike and have a picnic...I will never forget it and i'm planning a trip with friends and family in the near future..Thanks for haveing this amazing place to come to...I just love it!!..Mikey

Lifetime of memories
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/07
As young as 9 I was introduced to Cascade as a celebration of my grandparents anniversary. We tried to go every two years. My husband and I have tried to continue the tradition by having our honeymoon there 6 years ago, and we went there all as a family, total of 9 adults and 3 children, two years ago. We are getting the itch to go again, and discussing the idea of introducing my husbands side of the family of the wonderful enjoyment of staying at the cascade cottages. Of course the owners are always great to get to know. They truely care about your needs and happiness.

Perfect location
By Colorado dreamin', 2/19/12
I have visited Estes Park numerous times over the years, and have stayed at many resorts, but now I have found a place to return to year after year. The cabins are rustic, but clean. The location is a rare find, inside RMNP, right on Fall River (which lulls you to sleep at night). The cabins have great decks overlooking the river and falls. It is the perfect place to get away from the noise and distractions of normal everyday life, and renew and recharge. There is no phone, cable or internet, and of course no cell phone coverage...but that is the beauty of this place. The Davis family and the staff they have helping them out are incredibly friendly, and make you feel at home unlike some of the "corporate feeling" resorts throughout Estes Park. I highly recommend that you give this place a try, you won't be sorry!

Best vacation spot in Colorado
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/11/07
Cascade Cottages is a wonderful place for a "getaway from it all" vacation. We started going there in the 70's after being introduced by our aunt who had been going there every year since they opened! This is a great place to get away from our "technology driven" world. If you can not get along without your television or "in-room" telephone, this is not the place for you. At Cascade Cottages, you have to appreciate the beauty of nature all around you. The cabins are rustic but comfortable, the linens are clean and smell like the mountain air, you can sleep with the sound of the mountain stream in your ears, you can realize what it means for the night to truly be dark, and to see wildlife of all sorts "up close and personal" in their environment. If you only have time for one place for vacation, this would be it, but reserve early, as they book up long in advance. Leave your laptop at home, turn off your cell phone, and enjoy the "real world".

Amazing Scenary
By KS Janey, 5/24/09
what a beautiful place to "get away from it all"...very rustic, but clean and comfy cabins. Awesome staff. AND, wow, the scenary is absolutely stunning. One of my favorite memories is our short hike around the property. We didn't go far, but found such a lovely stream, majestic mountain views and simply gorgeous wildlife and flowers, Highly recommend it as a place to enjoy EACH OTHER and not be lost in the crowds. Close enough to the city of Estes Park to make it easy to pick up the necessities...but far enough away that you aren't surrounded by annoying touristy types! Simply stunning...I know you'll have a great time

Home Sweet Home
By Leaelyn, 1/16/07
Cascade Cottages is located just inside the Fall River entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. It is a family owned business for over 60 years. Rustic cabins make you feel like you're apart of the wilderness and mountains. The owners and employees are wonderful and make you feel at home! I'm 3rd generation family staying there and I won't stay anywhere else.

The undiscovered treasure....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/8/06
Whenever our family goes to Estes Park, this is where we stay. It is the only commercial lodging left within the RMNP borders, which is another reason we love it. They don't advertise because families come back again & again. Because you are in RMNP, you can literally walk to "The Meadow" and watch elk, big horn sheep, and even a coyote or 2. Chipmunks run the grounds and you can even get Stellar Jays to swoop down and eat from your hand. Now, our family describes the cabins as 'comfortably roughing it', so don't expect luxury here, but the beds are comfortable and the cabins each have their own unique charm. The Davis family has been running Cascade Cottages for over 50 years and have worked on updating the property over the last decade. We have been staying here since the late 1970's. There is the Fall river that runs through the property, so don't forget to stop in the office and look at the photo albums from the Lawn Lake flood of 1982. Their prices have steadily gone up, some may think it is a bit pricey for what you get, even we cringe a little at the price (which is still low to moderate for Estes Park), but the location and atmosphere is what we pay 'extra' for. My parents brought me, & now I am taking my children (they LOVE it). We are going back July 06, so I'll post an update.

Lifelong customers
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/10/06
We, too, have been staying at Cascade since the mid 1970's. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we come to Estes. It's like coming home. The cabins are "rustic", no television, no telephones. That's why we stay there. The coffee is always on in the main cabin, and there's always a cookie or two to be had. The sheets and towels smell like the mountain air from being dried in the sun. Elk, deer, and the occasional bear have been known to roam through the compound, as well as owls, jays, chimpunks and ground squirrels. We held a family reunion here last year. We could all get together, yet had our privacy. The place can book up more than a year in advance, although a night here and there can be found, so plan ahead. If you want to "get away" and really enjoy the mountains, there is no better place.
