We will pass on this hotel next time

Breakfast and News that's all we ask. We received neither at The Lodge at Corderilla. During our 5 night stay we were unable to get room service or breakfast before 7:45 am. Despite numerous calls to a busy signal or ringing phone - they never picked up until 7:20 or later. Going downstairs for breakfast was no better. We were in CO to flyfish, hike, mountain bike and play golf. All these activities require an early start. The Lodge is no place to stay for a family with an active lifestyle.
In addition, at uber-luxury prices for a room they have no news channel. Not even Headline News. As a news junkie watching Animal Planet or HBO just doesn't cut it. How can they attract business travel and luxury leisure travel with no 24 hour news service. They lost our business here as well.
In The Lodge's favor, the setting is exquisite - the rooms lovely - and they have free wireless throughout the hotel. But with Breakfast and News we will pass on this hotel in the future.
