Cancelled Reservation
By ,
Some family issues came up they cancelled the reservation with no questions asked and there were no issues of being charged a late fee. I am very greatful the staff was very kind and communicated effectively over the phone. I will write another review later but if things go as well as they were told to me I am very satisfied and plan on staying here next time I make a trip to Atlantic City...

WILL NOT GO BACK EVERRRR AGAIN
By ,
THE PICTURES ONLINE MAKES THE HOTEL LOOK SO NICE. ITS A NON-SMOIKING HOTEL BUT WHEN YOU WALK IN TO THE HOTEL FLOORS ITS SMELLS LIKE LONG DOOR. THE HOTEL NEEDS A BIG MAKE OVER . I PAID 125.00 FOR THIS ROOM. I WOULDVE BEEN BETTER OFF GOING TO A MOTEL 8. DO NOT WAISTED YOU MONEY ON THIS!

First impressions not so good, but......
By ,
When I first walked in I thought it looked pretty dirty but I gave it some time and it kind of grew on me. Yeah it's not the Taj Mahal but I was looking for a place not so big and flashy, less populated, easy in and out, and quiet as compared to the big Casinos. Negatives are that it is a little run down, the elevator is slow, continental breakfast is gone before you get a chance to get some, the alley leading to the boardwalk beside the hotel (kentucky Ave) is a bit noisy due to delivery trucks delivering early in the morning to vendors on the boardwalk along with the trash trucks, and the lack of toiletries (which you can bring your own body wash and shampoo, and you can ask for extra towels). Positives are that for the most part the hotel is quiet at night (hotel management does not allow guests friends loiter the hotel premises and party), Coffee in the lobby 24/7, beds are relatively comfortable and changed daily, from the front door you are a left turn and 50 yards from the boardwalk ( I felt comfortable with my 10 year old son walking back to the hotel to get something without having to cross busy roads, etc), you are centrally located in the middle of the boardwalk with equal distances left and right to the ends of the boardwalk, the best breakfast shops are right by the hotel, Bill's and the Itialian Bistro, beach rentals (chairs, umbrellas, etc) are right there along with a Newstand which sells anything from tobacco to q-tips, and finally hotel personnel were very accomodating and the price to stay, as opposed to the big casinos, was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this hotel if you can deal with a hotel that is alittle run down but offers so many more positives as mentioned above. Hope this helps.

First impressions aren't everything
By ,
I thought about going to another days inn on the boardwalk but my boyfriend informed me they were full so instead we went to this one. We stayed from Friday evening til saturday morning. (yesterday and this morning) Upon first impression it looked tacky and the outside of the hotel smelled bad, and a bit scary when me and my boyfriend were joined by a messy haired dude. But we got there, check in was easy and we went in the 1 small elevator that stunk as well the halls of the hotel. Its like some one smoked in there...but not cigarettes.... and we got a non smoking king sized room. Stinky halls indeed. But we got a decent room with a great big comfy bed and the bathroom had a modern day shower curtain that is made so it bends outwards instead of being aligned to the tub. The bathroom wasnt bad. We were on the 4th floor and the boardwalk was on the left of the balcony (within walking distance) and the rest of AC was on the right. Like i said, the location and the lobby might appear scary at first but it wasnt bad overall. I wouldnt want to meet any one who lives there tho. Also some one stuck a piece of gum in the peep hole and the Maid got a tip from previous guests but forgot to throw away the envelope. what in the world?! lol. it wasnt worth the 143 dollars buuuut... eh. Do what u have to do. This is not for those who want to b spoiled

wouldn't go back........
By ,
We read all the reviews and they were pretty positive so we thought this would be a good place to stay. We were told it rated like a Days Inn. Suprise, Suprise was not even close!! My first impression when I walked in was the strong odor of pinesol! We checked in and used the one elevator up to our room. It was an ok room until I found blood all over the sheets GROSS!! Then in the bathroom they had stuck toilet paper in the corners to cover 2 open holes. The window seals had paint chipping very badly off of them! This hotel was more like pay by the hour, definetly not a family hotel. I would not go back!!!!

Nice room but no air conditioning
By ,
I stayed at the days inn one night after coming from the trump plaza and boy was I sorry. The room was very clean ,but there wasn't any air conditioning and it was so hot (90 degrees). I complained to the front desk and I was given another room ,the air in that room wasn't working either. I would stay there only in the cooler months . Disappointed in NJ.
