my memories of you hotel has stayed with my niece and me for many yearss now. We both needed to see the ocean, so i found your hotel on line and i flew in from boston, met my niece in san francisco and we drove along the the ocean, it took us 5 hours to get to your hotel because i am a photographer and i had to stop every 2 minutes to take pictures of all the beautiful scenery, it was breath taking. We stopped at a little taco place just a few miles away from your hotel and had the best chicken tacos ever. The hotel location is perfectly located to see the ocean from our room, we both said some day we would come back with our special some one next time.
we both had the best and most relaxing time and would always recommend it to anyone to be inspired, loved the fire places and the bath robes, nice short walk into town with great restaurants and lots of gift shops and home made jams from the local berrys which we ate alot of. Loved the skunk train thru the red woods forest. Thank you to all the hotel staff for their wonderful hospitality and for making us feel special. Oh yeah the garden is so beautiful in the early morning when the su is just peaking through the trees and the anenames were spectacular considering i couldn't get mine to grow back in boston. What a very lovely place.
thank you linda d. Boston ma
We just finished a stay at the Sea Rock over Labor Day.
The location in Mendocino is great; it's close enough to the main town so it's convenient but its also far enough away from a lot of the noise and bustle. The staff is very friendly and attentive and we felt so comfortable and welcome. We can't say enough about the care and graciousness of our host, Barbara. Barbara was great for giving us information on restaurants, places to see, and things to do.
We stayed in one of the far cabins; not a great view of the sea from your room, but you can easily walk down to the coastline to see things so it wasn't a big deal for us. The room was very clean and well kept, and we loved the touches like a coffee/tea service in the room, complimentary wine and water plus microwave and small frige. Our cabin had very comfortable bed, a quiet location and convenient parking with easy access to/from Highway 1. Breakfast was outstanding and they really took care of the small details with fresh fruit, fantastic quiches, and wonderful breads.
We'd love to come back again to Sea Rock and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Mendocino.
