Amazing Trip Across the Lake/Lost Opportunity
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/12/11
Used to go there in the summer with a buddy's family in the 80's. One summer I met one of the most beautiful girls I had ever seen, who turned out to be the granddaughter of the owners. She was there from Southern California, but had to fly back soon. We spent a great deal of time swimming, talking, getting to know each other. Total infatuation at first site. The day she had to leave, we took a paddle boat across the lake, while my buddy tagged along. There was a little island across by the dam, where we parked the boat. My buddy nicely left us alone and one thing lead to another and we ended up kissing. That was all, but we spent a long time doing it. So long, that she had everyone looking for us, and when we got back she had to hurry in order to get to the air port to fly home. Alas, I never got her number or address as she was hustled away by family.
Not much time goes by ever since then that I don't think about her or the short time spent with her. I remember her last name was Bryant. Who knows...maybe she will read this and remember it too. I have been back several times since, most recently last year, but never saw her again. Would love to know what happened to her, and hopefully she has had a great life. Who knows, maybe one day we might even run in to each other and find out about the last 27 or so years. Stranger things have happened.
