By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/28/09
The cottages are very quaint, clean charming and full of everything you need for a night,a week or longer. The location is beautiful and you're surrounded by shops, restaurants, numerous outdoor activities. The owners are very accomidating, super nice, and made our stay very enjoyable. Ihave told many people about the Mallard House and highly recommend it to everyone. Barb Mason

My Favorite in Northern California
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/22/09
I have stayed at the Mallard House Inn many times. The cottages are delightful and the service is excellent. I enjoy relaxing by the lake and reading my favorite book. It's an easy walk to the center of town. I'll be heading back there in August 2009.

Don't Bother
By Mary, 07/06/09
We recently spent a few nights at The Mallard House. It was difficult to check in as the woman who owns the Inn has limited English. The rooms are very small and very tired. However, the main problem was the constant noise, lots and lots of screaming children everywhere. One night the people staying next door fired up a huge BBQ right outside our door and our room filled with BBQ smoke. For the rest of our stay our clothes all smelled like BBQ smoke, very unpleasant. Only stay here if you like living on top of other people and are willing to hear any and all noise they make.

A VERY LOVELY INN
By THE BOATING FAMILY, 10/23/08
The Mallard House Inn was a very nice place. Very clean nice rooms and a great location on the Lake. The owners were helpful and friendly and made us feel "at home". We have stayed there several times and when we are in the area we always stay there.

Keep Looking - Avoid this dump!
By Wes B, 08/09/08
Our room was smelly - mostly because of the mold and mildew on the walls coming through the fresh paint. Our room was noisy - as it was right up on the street. Hardly room to walk in the room as it was so tiny. The tiny window mounted AC was not enough to cool down the room into the 70's. The owner lady was rude and accusing when we told her that our room was not up to par. Also refused to refund the nights that we did not stay as, for health/cleanliness reasons, we had to book the rest of our vacation at another hotel. We filed out a report with the health department due to the mold issue. We also had to file a claim against the dishonest overcharge on our credit card. We have never had worse accommodations than this DUMP! Stay far, far away!!

Hard to believe!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/30/06
Unfortunately, these hotel owners abused our credit card and charged our rooms after we cancelled timely. Once the dispute was settles, they waited 8 months and charged our card again with a different merchant number! We are finally done dealing with this, but it took a year and our having to cancel a credit card - watch your credit card statements!
