COV II Spring Break 2006
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/6/06
Stayed a week in Ocean City at COVII. Initially had a 1 bedroom unit, with kitchen, living room, washer dryer but the door to the master bedroom (2 bedroom unit) is not like adjoining doors in a hotel room, simply one single door. The guests in the "master bedroom" smoked and their smoke filtered into our room. Since there are technically no rules regarding non-smoking rooms in MD it was a bit of a problem. Also, we could hear every word that they said, even breathing. We could even hear them using the bathroom and running water etc. Also, when you have this arrangement, the outside hot tub is shared, and the patio area is also shared. Definitely not private. The staff upgraded us to a 2 bedroom unit which worked out perfectly. It is huge, plenty of room and great beds!! The units show their age a little but were very clean and well appointed for a time share. We saw a ground level unit as well as an upper level unit and I liked the upper level unit since it has its own balcony with
table and chairs, and then the hot tub patio area downstairs is private, so there are more options for seating and so forth. Location is great, right in the middle of OC. Walking distance to the beach across the main street. There is a commercial area just adjacent to the COV II which has a grocery store, fast food and other stores. Shop in Delaware, just up the road, its tax free. We were there at spring break in April and there was no one around. Weather was mild, but water was way too cold to even dip your toes into. The boardwalk was in full swing and most everything was open. The indoor pool at COV II was great, the outdoor pool wasnt open yet. In the inside area there is a very nice redwood dry sauna. The pool temp was great. Just enough to keep ya warm but not a bath tub, but definitely not too cold either. Parking is abundant, check before bringing an RV or a boat. I did see some boat trailers around and a few class C RV but they werent predominant. Had a great time would highly recommend it to anyone going to Ocean City!!
