Wine Valley Lodge, Napa

If you want to do Napa on a budget, then this place will be your best bet for clean, comfortable lodging. I had business there and thought I'd have to stay outside of town, maybe a motel 6. Thank goodness I found this place! The room I stayed in was nowhere near as large as the one pictured. They are "small" according to McMansion standards, but more than adequate. Think hotel rooms in major cities size. The "lodge" is an early 60's motel set up, u shaped building around a pool with parking right outside your door. I liked that, not having to trudge up stairs and down hallways. The room was immaculate and cleaned well every day. The beds were comfortable, the towels of a good quality, a desk and two chairs to lounge in. The heat/cooler worked well. The breakfast was very basic but with good coffee. With what you save, go out instead! Location is close to stores, downtown Napa, major streets. Minuses: Neighborhood is not so great-- not ghetto, but on the outskirts of downtown Napa. I did not,however, see any illegal activity taking place. Noise from adjoining rooms can be heard if they are excessively loud. I could not hear normal conversations, however. All in all, a great value to be had when visiting the Napa Valley.
