Lakeview Resort, Sunrise Beach

This place is horrible. Do not stay in the loft. It says sleeps 6 but it actually sleeps 4. The fold out couch is a joke. I'm glad we brought an air mattress. The night shift front desk people were very rude. They told us we could park anywhere.. but actually asked us to move our vehicles twice so that other guests could park where we were. One of the times was at 10 pm! There was nothing relaxing about this place. One night there was actually a guest that pooped on the ground. They allowed people to play loud music in the park until after 10 pm. I think it's pretty ridiculous to not even have towels for the price they charge. It was very over priced. The stairs and railing were falling apart.. and bad lighting on the top floor. I actually tripped and hit my foot on the rusted metal they had underneath the grill right in the path way. My foot is bruised and cut open. Will NEVER stay here again.

I will not be back. The service was just above poor. The hot water did not work in one of our showers. Pool and units are not properly maintained. Everything is just patched together.

Just came back from Lakeview and we all had a good time. From age of 4 to 83 in our group there was something for everyone. We stayed in #33 and loved the location. Felt like we were on a houseboat with the view from the livingroom area. The resort is dated but has enough charm and the necessary features that we will for sure be returning in the near future. Thanks for a great long weekend!

After checking other prices, this place still remains an amazing bargain for what you're getting! Places were charging almost 150% what Lakeview was asking for equvalent rooms. Especially the new 4+ family lakefront condos that they have built. It's a bit of a drive off the main road (have to cross a dam and drive about 10 miles to reach resort) but it is well worth it. Only thing that's lacking is local shopping and other things since it's so far from the main road, but as a result you get a great serene place that already has most entertainment covered (jetskiing, arcade, pool, etc.) Overall an excellent resort, only thing is that if you don't reserve early enough you might not get the rooms you want! Highly recommended, I can't see myself staying anywhere else when I want to have fun on the lake!

starting going to lakeview beach resort when i was a child i am now 52 and we are taking our children and our grandchildren now. a great family place!!!!
