Haven, June Lake

We visited with our two small children. The management was friendly, but our cabin needed repairs that the staff should have addressed before our visit: • The hot water heater was not reliable • The toaster did not work • The left rear stove burner would light, but then go out in a few minutes • The refrigerator light did not work • The wood stove needed to be cleaned out (I had to clean it before using it) • The wood stove grate was warped and broken. It did not hold the wood well. • The wood for the stove should be aged: the wood in the basket was too green and did not burn While most of the problems are relatively minor, they added up. We spent valuable time troubleshooting the problems instead of enjoying our young family.

The Haven is just that. Its cozy,clean and a great location. If you like wood burning stoves and an outdoors feel without giving up all the comforts, you will love the Haven. Walking distance to everything in town and the Lake. Each room is well stocked with essentials, save some money, just bring food and drinks and your set. My family love the big hot tub and the new massage experience is worth every penny. We have been going for years and I have even had luck with the owner giving me a few tips on where the best fishing is. They really treat you well. Great price and great service. One try and you will be "hooked".

The Haven is THE best place to say. My entire family had a reunion up at the Haven 2 years ago, ... (6 cabins)... and they all had such a great time, they are ready to come back this year. The cabins are always clean and well stocked with the essentials like pots, pans, towels, all the things you would need to make your stay perfect. If you are in need of anything..... you simply ASK.... and it's done right away. Other than making the fishing BETTER... there is not a lot anyone could ask of the cabins or the owners. Have not been to the massage therapy part just yet, but I think I'll send my wife this year so I can get a full day of fishing in...... :) Thanks again Tanya for ALL the great times!!! Brad~~~~~~~
