I was asked to come for a free night stay what a joke. I was told one thing and the contract said another. Once they make a sale they forget who you are.The stay was comfortable but I think it was a sale pitch.Ive tried to solve my troubles but always end up talking to someone in florida. They just laugh and make me even madder. I would say learn learn and relearn the writing not what you are told.
We stayed at the Eagle's Loft. I like the patio facing the lake or a big pond. Seeing the stars so close at nigth was spectacular. The location is convenient to the center of the town. We had problems with the elevation at 7k'. The unit we stayed at was outdated, sub-standard and dirty. There were cobwebs everywhere from the patio area to the window screens and ceiling areas. There were geese excrements all over the patio and grass areas. The staff was not helpful and ineffective. Their customer service is also substandard. We tried four times to get another unit with no luck. We used RCI for our accomodation and felt "stuck" with it. We just checked out early.
Pagosa Springs: Winter or Summer - the place to visit!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/27/07
We have visited Pagosa Springs, CO and specifically stayed at the resort many times. The facilities are well cared for with a variety of accommodations. The resort provides activities for the visitors who choose not to head for the slopes!
I look forward to our visit each year!
My wife and I were there July 23-31, 2006 for our 26 wedding anniversary. The place was wonderful. The staff was extemely helpful and polite. The facilities were placed in such a beautiful and relaxing setting around lakes and a golf course. The morning walks were wonderful. Get a week pass for the hot springs. We went every night and loved it. My only negative is that some of the organizations Fairfield uses for special activities are very high priced. If you shop around in Durango you will find rafting, horse back riding and other activities much cheaper than those in Pagosa Springs. The BBQ dinner and wagon ride was wonderful and well worth the $30. Unless you ride horses alot be careful of the 2 and 3 hour ride. Riding on the mountains is much more on your knees than a regular ride. We went to 11 resturants while there and our favorites were "The Getaway" and "Junction Family resturant". Both served wonderful food and was half the price of most of the others. "The Getaway" is right there at the property and has internet connections along with live music on Friday and Saturday nights which was very nice. The food is wonderful and very inexpensive. For a hamberger or ice cream make sure you go to the "Malt Shop". We are going back next year and taking our grown children with us. We have been very happy Fairfield owners for five years and this was one of of greatest experiences.
This resort was so wonderful. We had a one bedroom unit with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and large tub in the bathroom. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The hot tub was around the back of the unit and was kept clean and in perfect condition. We were right on the golf course. The geese would walk right by our windows. Pagosa Springs was so nice! The restuarants were great, you must eat at Tequila's for dinner and The Rose for breakfast. Pagosa Hot Springs is a must do. The pools were so relaxing and the staff was so friendly. We will be visiting again very soon!
