This motel is way overpriced and run my nincompoops. I made my reservation two weeks before my actual trip and even called the Monday before my Friday arrival to let the staff know we would be arriving late in the evening. I was assured on Monday that my reservation was all good to go and the room would be ready upon my arrival. However, when I got there I was told my reservation had been canceled. Why? Because the business is run with all pen and paper records and the person who took my reservation wrote down my information incorrectly. They told me they were hoping I wasn't going to show up! After two hours of arguing they wanted to put me in the same room for $50 more a night and hold $1,000 on my credit card after I paid $700 for the room. Please take the time to read reviews on Yelp & Google. I would not recommend this motel to my worst enemy. There are plenty of nicer places to stay for the price they are asking.
The location to the beach and boardwalk is great. I didn't like the climb back up the hill. The 1st time I stay the bed was comfy and I liked the full size kitchen and DVD player. The 2nd time I stayed the bed was ok, it had plastic sheets on it. No kitchen. And the Tv was so far away and small from the bed I couldn't see the picture.
This place is anything but hot. Yes, it is close to the boardwalk/wharf which means once you park you can forget about your vehicle. However, the accommodations were terrible. The so called heated pool was as cold as ice. Our "ocean view" room was musty, only had one window that worked, only had 3 lights which made our room a dungeon, did not have a sink or mirror in the bathroom (they were in the room, they were just in the living area of the room - go figure), toilet was broke, carpet had not been cleaned, the room was not level (felt like we were at the mystery spot), so called family atmosphere was hindered by the guests who chose to have happy hour on the walkway all day long, and to top it off, the property has a overflow parking area which they allow day parkers on the weekends. This means a never ending flow of traffic and doors opening and shutting. Nothing peaceful about this place. The cherry on the cake was the price. Ridiculous price for the ocean view. The one good thing about this place is that they allow pets. So, if you are a pet owner, here is your place. Otherwise, save your money and go next door to the Terrace Court or splurge on The Dream Inn
Please save yourself a lot of trouble and money and stay somewhere else. The rooms were dirty, musty, cigarette burns everywhere. The beds had plastic sheets on them! The staff was beyond rude, bordering on harassing. Their "pet friendly" policy is a joke. We recieved a list of ten things we could be fined for upon arrival. For example, if our dog barked (at all) and someone complained we would be responsible to pay for their stay. No joke! The manager gave us the wrong room, then called us to get out immediately upon realizing the mistake. Despite the no refund policy our group left for a Hilton up the way. Better accomodations, allowed pets, and less money. the peace of mind was worth it!!!
The gardens provide a great way to enjoy a break from the busy Boardwalk/Beach scene. Our suite was large..two bathrooms and really clean. Nice areas to lounge around. We cooked our burgers with a ocean view. We'll we back this fall.
How great is was to park and forget the car. Our suite was not only clean but large enough for the family. We could see the beach from the picnic area and barbecue at the same time. The pool was clean and solar heated. The flowers are fantastic. Many varities carefully groomed.Lots of patios and lounging ares to relax. It was great having two TV's with dvd. Best was having a complete kitchen. Full sized appliances, dishes and the everything we needed.Saved us money with a family. Service was always with a smile. We will be back.
