Port-O-Call Motel, Rockaway Beach

We visit the Port-O-Call twice a year and have so for approximately 20 years. Although several guests list the facility as being clean, we find it to the contrary. The units are all in dire need of remodeling and/or updating. There appears to be a moisture problem in several of the units that create mold on the painted paneling and an odor. Crawling insects tend to be a problem as well. Dave allows many of his local friend's families to use the swimming pool regularly...which makes us uneasy regarding security. Dave is slow in staying "on top" of work that needs to be done. Our wives no longer go with us to the Port-O-Call.

This was an ideal place for us. Dave, the owner, is so nice and will help with any problems that you might have. You don't see him unless you need him. We loved our kitchenette. Rooms are clean and very economical. Great pool!! We definitely will go back next year!!!
