Hidden extra charges
The cabins were roomy and very comfortable, however, be sure when you make your reservations that you are told of the charges for pets. We asked about the charges when we made our reservations and were told "it is included in the price". When I checked in, the people in front of me were unhappy because they were not told of the extra charge for their pets when they made their reservations. When it was my turn, I found out that $105 was added to my bill for pets. $25 flat fee and $10 each night for each pet (we were there 4 days). The smartmouthed kid behind the desk told me if I didn't want to pay it I could "kennel" my pets down the road. If I had to kennel them, I wouldn't have taken them to begin with. His attitude was very rude and basically "if you don't like it, go elsewhere". Then when I got to my cabin, and went over the bill, I realized that he had overcharged me $60 on top of the extra $105 for the pets. They did take the $60 off the bill, but wouldn't budge on the pet issue. I talked with 2 other people staying there and they also were not told of the extra pet charge, one of them even being an owner there but still having to pay the charge. Other than that, the cabins worked well for us, but the tub downstairs didn't have a handle to turn the water on. It was broken and laying on the side of the tub. We used a washrag to turn the water on and off. It didn't bother us but to some, this would probably be a inconvenience. The location was great and there was plenty of room in the cabin for everyone that was with us. All in all, I would recommend the cabins to anyone, just be sure that you don't get stung on the pet thing.
