blue haven is a great getaway,,,,the hospitality, the cleanliness,,and overall great resort,,great fishing,,,,,,,,,anyone going to this resort will want to go back..
The stay was really nice, just a few complaints. No pets allowed, but they had a dog in the office, a bit of a contradiction. I did find a large roach in the cabin, but not a total shock because of different people always staying there. The beds were hard as rocks, I will bring my own foam to put on top of it next time. My biggest complaint is the older woman that worked in the office. She was very unfriendly and somewhat rude, both times that we went in there. The younger couple were very nice and helpful. I would go again, it was peaceful and quiet and the men loved to fish.
Spent a few days at the Blue Haven with the wife last week. We enjoyed exceptional service from the staff. Cabin was very clean upon our arrival as were the grounds and dock areas. Beds were very comfortable. When I return to Branson, I will surely stay at the Blue Haven again.
We absolutely loved it! The scenery, the fishing, the surrounding attractions, it was so fun. We go every year in October. The weather is just cool enough for a jacket at times, and not so hot that you can't stand to fish. And October is the perfect time for the fall foliage that lines the banks of lake Taneycomo. You can bring your own boat, or there is a small one provided for you. They also have all the tackle and bait that you need in the office, as well as your trout stamps and fishing license. And then of course there's Maggie, the lodge mascot.

My wife and I and our daughter and her friend stayed at the Blue Haven Resort in 2006. We enjoyed it so much we returned the following year and stayed a week.It is a very nice place to stay while enjoying ALL the things Branson has to offer! I would recomend this place to anyone and look forward to the day when we can return!
We like meeting the people who are there each year when we are. The fishing is an bonus. If the fishing is slow,I drank my beer and talk to the people on the dock. Its also close to town . The ladies can go shopping without us. Great Place. The owners are
excellent. You need to find out for your self.
We liked the cleanliness. The pool was nice. The dock seemed deteriorated and the water around the dock had trash floating in it. The cabin was cramped. There was a recliner placed directly in front of one of the bedroom doors. The airconditioner was off when we arrived and it took several hours to cool the cabin. We had expected to arrive to a readied cabin. You are supposed to bring used towels into the office to trade for clean towels, but we never knew for sure what time the office closed. My advice is to go early. The closing hours are posted 6:00 p.m, but they were never open that long. When my husband casually asked Phyllis, the older woman in office, what time the office closed, she acted as if we had somehow insulted her. She replied that after her shift was over she had no idea what the managers did. They could close whatever time they wanted! She didn't smile at us a single time. We did enjoy the rest of the time there. Although, there was one more incident that sort of worried me. We noticed the dust covers were left on the smoke detectors. It stated on the dust cover that smoke detector would not work with dust cover on. To remove it. We removed one, but didn't want to cause Phyllis anymore trouble, so we didn't mention it to her. You probably want to remove the dust covers if you stay there. We haven't decided if we will return. There were things we liked. Such as the approximaty to the downtown and the quiet surroundings. The price was nice too, but we felt the hospitality was lacking. A friendly attitude and a smile has a way of staying with you and overriding other minor problems. Too bad we didn't encounter one.
