Westgate Branson Lakes at Emerald Pointe, Hollister

This resort had horrible customer service! All of the staff was rude, inconsiderate, and condescending. We were also charged additional fees that were not disclosed upon booking our reservation, making it horribly unaffordable. Additionally, the walls/floors/ceiling are paper thin, and you can hear everything. I travel all over the US and abroad, and this was the worst place we've ever stayed. We'll never return!

I booked my stay through my credit card company and even though the website for the resort shows and idyllic waterfront setting, there is something that isn't apparent. Fully half of the units face the hillside and parking lot. Disappointed to travel halfway across the country to have a view of the parking lot and the vending machine. Also, some of the staff were a bit surly and seemed disinterested in helping. Not all of the staff. Be sure to specify with you booking agency that you want a unit with a view of the water, or you may feel like you're in a cheap hotel along the highway somewhere.

We recently stayed at this resort and were very disappointed. We called the resort a few days before we arrived to check on accommodations and were told we would have a lake view in our room. When we arrived this was not the case. We were missing various items normally provided in the kitchen for cooking and cleaning up. The carpet was stained in the living room, probably because there was no coffee table or end table to set your drinks on. There were numerous cracked tiles in the bathroom. The “heated” pools were too cold for me and I routinely swim in 82 or 83 degree water. The “jets” in the hot tub were just 2 inch pipes blowing out air with no jet involved. I brought this to their attention and was told the hot tub was working properly. I have never been in any other hot tub that had air coming out of a 2 inch pipe with no jet, and I have been in many hotels and resorts all over the country. We tried to get on the internet to check out a few of the attraction we saw coming in and found there was no wireless access. In fact there was no internet access anywhere on the property that guests had access to. We were told we could get internet access by driving 5 or 6 miles to a McDonalds. This was the worst resort we’ve been to. I have had better amenities at hotels that have suites.

We have owned a villa which we can use every other year. Management has always been up front and very accomodating. On our last visit, however we were told we could buy a second year (making us able to come every year) and have our entire payments with a cheaper interest rate and it would only make our payments about $50.00 more. This was from Mike Dillion, who told us he was now the Finanacial Manager and would be on the property at all times. We told Mike we just could not afford it because we had three weeks of time shares In Arkansas that had ridiculousley high maintenance fees and until we could sell them we just could not afford to buy more. He assured us there was a way to donate them to charities and he would show us the way to do that. That was very exciting to us and we could well afford another year. After all was said and done, we had to pay $1850.00 down (which we were not told about beforehand) plus our increase in payment tripled, instead of $50.00 it went to $152.78. Mike assured us he would be in touch with us and give us all the information about donating our other 3 weeks which we have elsewhere. It is now February 7, 2011 and we have repeatedly tried to contact him since the 2nd week of January through e-mails and phone calls and he will not respond. I would advise anyone who owns any property there to be very careful when you are offrered a reduced percentage and more time. I truly feel like we have been conned and scammed. We love the property and enjoy being there but not if this is the way we are going to be treated.

Just spent a week in a one bedroom condo. The condo was very nice, clean and roomy. As others have said the only negative I saw was not enough insulation between rooms and floors. The location away from the strip gives you peace and quiet. Makes for a real relaxing time. I got this vacation from Sky Auction and had no problems what so ever. Defenitely recommend this place and the use of Sky Auction as well for great deal. Would defenitely book again if available.

We bought a 2 BR timeshare here. We enjoy the peace & quiet. The views are beautiful, but we would like to see a restaraunt/bar built soon.

i loved this resort on emerald pointe. its a great place to hang out. it is definitly relaxing and i want to go so bad this year. thanks you for a great vacation !

The front desk and event planning staff were VERY helpful, kind and respectful. They answered any and all questions we had very professionally. The room was EXTREMELY clean, had all needed items for a 6 day stay. I do have to admit - the mattress on the beds and pull out couches were a bit uncomfortable. But with all the outdoor activities to do - you barely noticed it at night. The location is a bit out of the way - plan to drive for groceries and entertainment - but it isn't a true inconvenience.. I truely loved the wonderful veiw from our balcony and the sunsets are beautiful.. You can NOT beat Table Rock Lake for excellent boating and the CLEAN water... I'm planning a return trip in 2008 - that is how great it is !!

Westgate Has Rude And Uneducated People In There Staff Like Justin They Do Not Like Southern People Good Luck Trying To Get A Supervisor To Do Anything About It And This Is From The Ones That Call You
