I COULD NOT DISAGREE MORE WITH THE PREVIOUS REVIEW! My family just returned from our first stay at this fine resort, and it was everything we hoped it would be, and more. This resort is called "Take It Easy" for a reason. I am a writer, and here are my words to describe this treasure of a resort: serene, tranquil, super clean, cozy, tastefully decorated, well-kept, picturesque, beautifully landscaped, reasonable rates, and gracious hosts! It's where one goes who is longing for a peaceful respite in God's country, with families of deer crossing the meadows in clear view, screened-in porches overlooking the bluffs, majestic trees, and a lovely view of Lake Norfork. The fishing dock below is an easy trek or drive from the cabins and we saw no snakes, although they are natural to Arkansas habitat. I highly recommend "Take It Easy Resort" to anyone longing for a quiet sanctuary in which they can relax and rejuvenate with friends or family. Kudos to the owners, John and Deanna Van Eps. We look forward to staying with you again soon!

Stayed 2007 for family vacation. Older cottages clean but in need of TLC. Dirt road with lots of traffic and dust. My truck and boat coated in dirt from road. No view of lake even though they advertise "lakefront".
Dock is old and small in need of wood repairs. Dock area overgrown and very snakey. Saw several snakes in water, wife and kids would not get in water. We stayed with brother inlaw in cabin and he joked nothing to do but watch grass grow. We learned there are nice resorts with great views on lake and have reserved with them for this summer. Bottom line is traveler Beware.
